Air Quality Update
Royal School District is currently experiencing air quality issues. District leadership is closely monitoring conditions using a variety of resources, including the EPA sensor located at the high school, a district hand-held device, and the AirNow.gov network. Our School Nurse, Erica Rawley, is also assisting with monitoring during the school day to help guide decisions regarding student activities.
As a general rule, if conditions are considered unhealthy for all groups, students will remain indoors and outdoor practices will be cancelled. The Athletic Director makes daily practice decisions at 2:30 p.m. Game decisions, such as tonight’s football matchup with Ki-B, are made in coordination with the opposing school’s Athletic Director using shared data and resources.
The health and safety of our students and staff continue to be our highest priority.
