Over the last several months, our administrators, teachers, and staff have been hard at work planning a safe return to school this fall. This summer we have been working on facility and equipment assessments to determine the maximum number of students that could be on site at one time in each of our buildings in order to meet the requirements from OSPI and the Department of Health. As we continue to work on these plans, we want to let you know about our new Reopening Royal Schools webpage and some key dates to look forward to as we prepare for Royal’s first day of school on August 28th!

We have established a web page at, where you can find updates related to the reopening of our schools. This includes potential school schedule changes, cleaning protocols in our buildings, health and safety measures, information on activities and athletics, transportation, and meal service procedures. We will continue to update this page with more details and answers to frequently asked questions.

We want to thank all of our staff, students, and community members for joining us in staying flexible and patient as we focus on what’s best for students.
