Bond Ballot Information

Official 2019 Royal Bond Resolution

At their regular meeting on Monday, November 26th, the Royal School Board of Directors approved the resolution to place a bond on the February 12, 2019 Special Election. When Royal voters receive their election ballots at the end of January, they will see the following resolution proposed for their vote:

PROPOSITION 1
ROYAL SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 160
BONDS TO RENOVATE SCHOOL FACILITIES

The Board of Directors of Royal School District No. 160 adopted Resolution No. 598, concerning a proposition to improve safety and outdated infrastructure. This proposition would authorize the District to: renovate Royal High School (including making safety enhancements; expanding cafeteria; renovating gymnasium; connecting main building to cafeteria, library and gymnasium to create a single campus entry point); reconstruct and modernize Royal Middle School; construct additional classrooms; expand and renovate Bus Garage; issue no more than $16,580,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 18 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 598.
